Currently, the ordering of the terminals in a default part symbol goes top to bottom in each terminal column (Top left going down : 1->4 and top right going down : 5->8). It may be more intuitive for users if a an IC numbering style is implemented. This is a numbering system that starts in the top left of the chip and numbers the terminals counter-clockwise to the top right.
