Instead (or in addition to) of clicking on the end of one node and then moving and clicking again, make it possible to hold mouse button and move. Feels more intuitive to me.

Yes, depending which CAD package you're used to, some use Click-Move-Click to draw lines, while others use Press-Drag-Release to draw.

I prefer the latter, but it could be set as a user preference.

You mean to create a wire that connects two parts?
