Change mouse wheel scroll direction with keyboard modifier

In the same way that pressing Ctrl changes the mouse wheel function from scroll up/down to zoom in/out it would be nice to have another modifier (e.g. Shift, like on draw.io) to change the scroll direction to left/right. This helps work around clunky arrow key and mouse pan functionality.

I like to use the mouse wheel button to pan in 2D, rather than scroll vert/horiz. Then use the scroll wheel to zoom.
The Ctrl key can then modify the wheel button from 2D pan to 3D tilt/rotate, while the scroll still zooms.

jacobq what input device / OS / browser are you using? This functionality exists today in Flux, and I've just tested it with a two button scroll wheel mouse / Mac / Chrome. As Patrick mentioned, Shift is the modifier key.

Only the zoom modifier key (Ctrl) has any effect. Shift does not change the wheel scroll direction.

If you press "shift" while using the scroll wheel, it will pan left to right.
