It just occurred to me that I wouldn't have been able to use the history function to return to a previous version after getting the error message we have been discussing - because the effect of the error was to lock up the entire platform. I couldn't click on anything other than responding to the error message.

When I pasted the copied traces (which included 2 layers of metal and some vias) I got a message saying something like "layout update unsuccessful" and it gave me two options - 1. refresh the page or 2. sent a bug report. I refreshed the page and after it refreshed the error message descended down from the top in a red box telling me the same message. I had to delete the entire project. I noticed that projects automatically save. Is there a copy of the previously saved version I could have used to restore my project (which would have excluded the last copy and paste layout traces)?

Jeffrey G. Dumas: Thank you for providing the detailed background on what's happening. And we're really sorry you're facing this problem!
To start, could you please share a link to the project where this issue is occurring so I can take a closer look?
As for your question about reverting to a previous version of the project. Yes, that is possible. In Flux we have the History and version control feature that allows you to roll back to earlier versions of the project. Please check it out and let me know if you are able to restore the project

collinsemasi I deleted the project I was working on that had the copy and paste issue (unfortunately). Thank you for the information about history control. I will use that in the future, if needed.

I'll proceed to close this ticket, however, if you have any other concerns, please feel free to reach out to us again!

Hi Jeffrey G. Dumas
Thank you for reaching out! Could you please provide a bit more detail on the issue you're encountering with copying and pasting layout traces? (e.g. what happens when you copy and paste? Any errors that appear?)
Any additional context or steps to reproduce the problem will help us investigate it more effectively.
